Battle of Plassey in 1757 Battle of Plassey The Battle of Plassey was the result of the conflict between the Nawab of Bengal, Siraj-ud-Daula and the East India Company.  This war yielded very important and lasting results.  1757 AD  The Battle of Plassey was the war to establish British power in India. The erstwhile interests of Bengal and English gave the East India Company an opportunity to intervene in Bengal politics.  In the past, Nib Nizam Alivardi Khan of Bihar took full advantage of the political uproar that took place after Aurangzeb's death.  He greatly increased his power.  He was an ambitious person.  He defeated the then Nawab of Bengal, Sarfaraz Khan in the war and himself became the Nawab. Tipu Sultan   Life introduction: Tipu Sultan was born on November 20, 1750 from Devanahalli (Yousafabad, Bangalore), Karnataka , about 33 (21 miles north). His full name was Sultan Fateh Ali Khan Shahab . His father's name was Hyder Ali and mother's name was Faqrunnisa . His father Hyder Ali was the Sainapati of the Kingdom of Mysore , who by his own strength became the ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in 1761. Tipu is known as the lion of Mysore. Apart from a worthy ruler, Tipu was also a scholar, skilled scholar and poet.  Hyder Ali's demise and Tipu Sultan's reign in the late 18th century is a major event in Mysore . With the arrival of Tipu Sultan , the British imperialist policy reached a tremendous foundation, where on the one hand the Company Government was expanding its nascent British Empire . He was the third emperor of the  Maurya dynasty .  The founder of the Maurya dynasty was his grandfather "Chandra Gupta Maurya"  (about 322-298 BC). After  Chandragupta Maurya , his father " Bindusara ",(about 294-273 BC) ascended the throne.  Ashoka  has a third  Mourya emperor.
